Steps to Buying A commissioned Artwork form ME!
When I paint commissioned artworks, copyright of artworks and licensing of artworks I follow processes outlined below. Everyone has a product that they want in their minds. It is my responsibility to bring that to life in the best manner possible. I am flexible but I do follow guidelines. It takes up to 2 or 3 weeks to create the art works depending on the size and detail required. This gives the artwork time to dry in between up to the 7 layers of coats I paint. There is a step by step process I can send to you along the way or at the finish of painting. This allows you to explain to your family, friends and collogues not just the beautiful stories, but how techniques or my style influences the design.
Starting with Commissioned Artworks for your home, workplace or as a beautiful gift. It can be an exciting experience having what you want in a painting form. In my opinion, I have a distinct style and brush stroke that is unique to me. So, it is important that you look at my examples in the artworks when deciding what series you LOVE. As I grow in my talent, so will my NEW series and the current ones as well.
Once you have an idea, I will ask you about the colours, sizes, details of the art. Do you want animals, insect, turtles, landscapes, ocean etc to work through with you an exact artwork. We can discuss this in person or on zoom call. It will take up to an hour depending on the size and details required. I usually make notes and sketches as I work though with you. You can add in extra or change it slightly until I start the painting process. Although, I have been called in to put on extra after artwork is complete!!
We negotiate a price, time of completion and if on unstretched or stretched and delivery or pick up locally. I take into consideration the canvas quality, materials used, and the length of time required to complete when pricing. I paint with Matisse, Liquitex and add in with Posca paint pens for fine detailing. However, I am experimenting with new quality brands. I am now established as an Artist and my pricing is evident in the Galleries if you want to research them.
Once I send the quote/invoice to you, a payment of 50 % is required to start painting. Art takes time, and as have commitments in life, I like to block out time to create. You can pay the remainder 50% on completion. If you want to pay the full price upfront, feel free to do that.
With progression updates, I am happy to send them once the undercoating is finished and the artwork is flowing. However, I am an Artist who is creative and usually follow my internal process combined with suggestion from the Art Lover.
All artwork comes with my Aboriginal Authenticity letter and a thank you gift from my range.
